A Day for Superman

Image

Yesterday was Father’s Day. I know, I know, I’m a little late to the party. I didn’t forget yesterday. Quite the contrary, I was busy making sure my baby daddy husband was having an enjoyable, relaxing day. So I didn’t think it would be appropriate on his day, to take time away from him so I could blog. Even if it is about him!

Anyways. Back to my story. Yesterday was Father’s Day. A very important day of the year. It’s a day we honor and recognize all the hard working and loving, dad’s, step-dad’s, grandfather’s, father-in-law’s, father figures, and even mama’s who have to do double duty as both mom and dad. Parenting is a tough job, and not for the faint of heart. God Bless all of us who wake up everyday and continue to get back in the trenches and give it our all.

These sweet, angelic faces may look innocent enough, but there are days we have to refrain from running for the hills.

The reason for Father’s Day

So good job to all of you who stick with it, and stick by each other. It makes life a little easier if you have a partner in crime some one in your corner who always has your back.

And I’m lucky enough to have one helluva baby daddy, person who’s got my back, lover, husband, confidante, protector and provider. I love this man to the moon and back a thousand times over.

My Husband

And if it wasn’t for our drunken escapades undying love for each other, we wouldn’t have the best two little surprises to ever be blessed upon us.

Love our boys

Thank you Husband, for going to work everyday so you can provide for our family. Thank you for always being willing to get up early with our babies. Thank you for volunteering to do dinner dishes and bath time on nights I work. Thank you for always putting the toilet seat down. Thank you for making me and the boys laugh everyday. Thank you for loving us unconditionally. Thank you for choosing me. Thank you for being you. And thank you for bringing out the best in me.

I love you.
